Tracking Devices for Pedophiles?

In ANGRY ENOUGH TO KILL, a pedophile turns the tables on the heroine, and hunter becomes the hunted. When I was plotting the novel, I wondered if people would criticize this concept because the majority of 'typical' pedophiles aren't likely to turn the tables in real life.

It seems I was wrong. Well, I guess I was right to think that it could actually happen.

Many of us feel safe in our vehicles. Perhaps this pedophile might have hesitated if he hadn't had a vehicle as an assault weapon.

Recently, Australia released a dangerous pedophile, but fitted him with a tracking device.

Do you think this is an effective way to protect our children? What about the rights of the pedophile?

I'd love to know what you think.
